Channel MarkersTwice every year; in the spring the channel markers are placed then they are taken out for the winter. Here are Cal Weck and Dan Carlson hauling in a marker - Click to enlarge.

Install and maintain primary channel and major rock markers. The two primary activities are removing marker caps in the fall and replacing in the spring plus maintaining marker mounting pipes and caps.

That channel marker work sure makes a guy thirsty - Lloyd Richmond, committee chair, toasts the group as a fitting reward for volunteering your time and resources. - Click to enlarge. If there is a decision to add, delete or modify markers, this committee works with the appropriate governmental agencies for the required approvals and township ordnances.

(We also have a beer when the work is done!! )
