BEAR SAFETY

Always remember that when in the beautiful Northwoods it is really the woods! We have wildlife galore here. That includes the black bear. BOATING SAFETY CERTIFICATE

If you are between the ages of 12 and 16 or born after January 1, 1989 and at least 16 you MUST have passed a boating safety course to operate ANY watercraft.

The DNR's "Handbook of Wisconsin Boating Laws and Responsibilities" has complete watercraft information and is available at the local DNR office at 107 Sutliff in Rhinelander (Near the Paper Mill).

LAW ENFORCEMENT

The Oneida Sheriffs Office has dedicated three deputies to lake security and survellience. While they can not be everywhere at all times their random patrols are making our chain more secure by their presence. Having this patrol has reduced response times in case of emergency, as well.
